Friday, 20 December 2013, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church received carollers from Vaslui. “Izvorasul” group from the Children’s Palace of Vaslui city, carolled the Patriarch of Romania; to end with, the members of the group received gifts on behalf of the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
“We congratulate you for this nice performance and for the beauty of your costumes. At a time when the Romanian traditions are little by little forgotten, it is very important to be proud of the beauty we inherited and to show that in Romania the cultural diversity of the chants and costumes makes up a wonderful cultural set designed to praise God and honour the people’s artistic gifts”, His Beatitude said.
