His Eminence Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia met last week in Chișinău with the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Moldova, Anatolie Nosatîi, to define the priorities for cooperation for 2026.
The meeting took place on Wednesday, December 3, as part of the collaboration agreement signed by the two institutions in 2023.
The discussions focused on joint programmes aimed at strengthening the moral and spiritual formation of military personnel, supporting the responsibility and dignity of those who dedicate their lives to serving the country.
Metropolitan Petru expressed his gratitude for the Minister’s openness and willingness to continue cooperation, and he appreciated the attention given to the spiritual dimension of military life and the commitment to reinforcing the institutional partnership.
Defence Minister Nosatîi thanked the Metropolitan for the warm welcome and for the Metropolis’s ongoing support for military personnel, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation in a spirit of responsibility, solidarity and care for people.
Earlier, Metropolitan Petru also met with Moldova’s Prime Minister, Alexandru Munteanu.
