With humility about the Romanian Orthodox Church (OPINION)

An article signed by Ioan Vieru in Cotidianul highlights that “the Orthodox Church raises and preserves the voice of Romania in the framework of historical and cultural clarity, as no other institutional form can do.”

The author considers that “every moment the candle of the Holy Church shines in the great abyss, being the beacon to which it is impossible not to go. The identity crisis is constantly perpetuated, and the Church not only confronts it, but it also names it, destroying its blind forces like a rock.”

With humility about the Romanian Orthodox Church: full text

This celestial ship for the Romanian nation, the Holy Romanian Orthodox Church, is continuously at significant intersections, where opponents transfer their own incapacities in denigrating the millennial faith.

Crossing the communist desert in an institutional form that bears living witness to the vocation of the sacred, the national Church is recovering through genuinely patriotic people who can participate in the effort of retrieval.

These window people are our full settlement in a sense. These people are the light of the Romanian land, perfect in their vocations, in deeds, in truth.

The Orthodox Church raises and preserves Romania’sRomania’s voice within the framework of historical and cultural clarity, as no other institutional form can do.

Every moment the Holy Church’sChurch’s candle shines in the great abyss, being the beacon to which it is impossible not to go.

The identity crisis is constantly perpetuated, and the Church not only confronts it, but it also names it, destroying its blind forces like a rock.

Romania’sRomania’s protection cannot be of a political, moral, economic nature except through the realization of faith, through the fulfilment of the Church’sChurch’s imperatives.

All these programs, no matter how successful, if they do not have the Christian faith foundation, will go against the human being.

We feel the diverse and devilish attacks against the Church, their exacerbation being harsher than in the red period.

The national Church is part of our thinking, of the Romanians, towards the peace of the whole world, as a contour after which they all go and find their great meaning.

Everything that stands in the light of the truth on the Romanian holy land has a close connection with the power of generations’ faith, our testimony and argument being essential.

Today, as in the most challenging times, the Church remains the absolute support.

I find with fundamental relevance His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, a perfect theologian, a guide of the holy Church, with humility and an exemplary vocation in the public exercise.

Those who remained with the Church in terribly mixed and fickle times, those who today show by their deeds the power of the Godhead, deserve a homage, which by itself is the part of saving all values.
