It is badly needed to appreciate the value of the human person, is the urge of the Patriarch of Romania said today at the Patriarchal Cathedral. On 8 September, when the Church celebrates the Birth of the Mother of God, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
In the sermon delivered in the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church said: “We pray the Mother of God to protect our families and children very often exposed to all forms of violence, sometimes exploitation, and more recently to the violence of the stray dogs. It is badly needed to appreciate the value of the human person. A single human values more than the entire material universe. All galaxies does not value as the soul of a human being, because only man was created in the image of God, always alive, only he was called to love and eternal happiness in communion with God.
