This morning, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the chapel of “Saint Great Martyr George” of the Patriarchal Residence, assisted by a group of priests and deacons, thanking God for the boons received during his 62 years of life.
Litanies and thanksgiving prayers were said during the Divine Liturgy at the anniversary of His Beatitude’s 62 years of life.
“We thank God for this Holy Divine Liturgy and, certainly, those present here today, priests and deacons. We glorify God for all the boons bestowed over our Church, and over the Romanian people, and we express our thanks for the help given to us and to our collaborators in the service of His Church”, His Beatitude said in the end of the Divine Liturgy.
On this occasion, His Beatitude ordained deacon Mihail Buca as archdeacon, conductor of Tronos chorus of the Patriarchal Cathedral.
“We congratulate father Mihai Buca, archdeacon now, who is one of the best deacons of the Romanian Patriarchate for his great missionary effort to organise and conduct Tronos chorus of the Romanian Patriarchate, very well know now due to his great work. We ordained him archdeacon to show him he is appreciated not so much for his diaconal service as for his musical missionary diaconia”, His Beatitude explained.
At 11.00 hours, the Te Deum service will be celebrated in the Patriarchal Cathedral as thanksgiving to God for the boons bestowed over the Romanian Orthodox Church, over the Romanian people, and over His Beatitude, as well as for the assistance given to His Beatitude for promoting the Christian Orthodox faith and mission.
