The Patriarch of Antioch at the Church of Saint Dumitru Post in Bucharest

Tonight, 1 December 2014, His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All East met the members of the Arabian speaking Orthodox community of Bucharest. The event took place at the church of Saint Dumitru Post situated in the heart of Bucharest.

His Beatitude spoke about keeping the faith at time of trial.

“We know that our countries suffer a lot now, but we also know that all these countries are in our hearts, especially since we are at Christmas season now, and this is why we pray for the peace of the world. The message we received at the Nativity of the Lord from heaven was “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace”, and this is why you must keep faith as it is and not leave your tradition in which you grew up in your countries. We thank the Romanian people with whom we made a true Christian family, and this is why we convey best wishes to our Romanian brothers on the occasion of the celebration day of the protector of the Romanian Orthodox Church – Saint Andrew – and of the National Day of Romania.” “La multi ani!” said His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All East – according to Trinitas Radio station.

From 28 November – 2 December 2014, His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All East is paying a brotherly visit to the Romanian Patriarchate, at the invitation of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of Romania.
