Today, 18 December 2013, the representatives of the Christian Orthodox Youth League of Romania – Mizil branch – and of the Orthodox Theological Students Association were awarded the homage diploma and medal of Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen on behalf of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of Romania.
The diploma was awarded for the social cultural activity these associations developed with the needy.
To end with, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel spoke about the service with the poor: “We do appreciate the activities that you developed in 2013. The Christian Orthodox Youth League of Mizil developed many such activities representing a model of missionary, cultural and social-philanthropic work for the entire eparchy. Not always those living in big cities work a lot too. It is nice to see how the Christian Orthodox Youth League and Christian Orthodox Students’ Association of Romania do mission in big cities where it is more difficult to do it, but more necessary than in the province. We congratulate you and pray Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen to protect and inspire you through the example of their life as supporters of the Church and promoters of the Christian life”.
