In his Easter message, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel asked for more care for vulnerable people, especially the poor and sick persons.

He also remembered that the Resurrection of Christ filled every created thing with its ultimate meaning.

“The Feast of Holy Pascha illuminates the whole life of the Church and of every Christian,” underlined the Patriarch of Romania while conveying the best paschal greetings to the faithful.

On Easter night, we sing: “Now all things have been filled with light, both heaven and earth and those beneath the earth.”

This means: Now all created things are filled with their ultimate meaning. All are moving towards the light of eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Why? Because the crucified and risen Christ has conquered sin, hades and death, giving the world eternal, imperishable life.

So, the feast of Holy Pascha illuminates the whole life of the Church and of every Christian because through baptism, repentance, Eucharist and almsgiving, we are united with the crucified and risen Christ, the conqueror of death.

The Feast of Holy Pascha calls us today to offer light, peace and joy to those around us, especially to the poor and sick, the sorrowful and lonely, the refugees and the alienated.

We wish you all good health and happiness, peace and joy, together with the paschal greetings:

Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed!
