New Exhibition in honour of Russia’s Last Tsar to open at Romanian Academy Library

The Library of the Romanian Academy will host a new exhibition ‘The Last Romanov Tsar’ exploring unique moments from the life and death of Tsar Nicholas II and his family.

The exhibition is organized by Russia’s Embassy to Romania, Sretensky Monastery in Moscow, and St Nicholas – Tabacu Church in Bucharest, the spiritual home of the Russian Orthodox community in Romania’s capital.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, January 19, 2019, and will take visitors behind the scenes of one of the most important royal families of the 20th century.

St Nicholas Parish announced that the unique photographs are collected by Hieromonk Ignaty Shestakov from Sretensky Monastery, who will also be present in Bucharest at the opening event.

The exhibition will be available for visitors until Wednesday, January 23.
