NBR: Numismatic issues dedicated to 100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Opera in Cluj

The National Bank of Romania (NBR) put into circulation on 17 February 2020, for numismatic purposes, a silver coin to mark “100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Opera in Cluj”.

Obverse: the depiction of the building of the Romanian Opera in Cluj, the inscription “ROMANIA” in an arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the face value “10 LEI” and the year “2019”, NBR reports.

Reverse: the image of the auditorium of the Romanian Opera in Cluj, the inscription “OPERA ROMANA DIN CLUJ” in an arc and the year of establishment “1919”.

The mintage of this issue is 300 silver coins.

The silver coins marking “100 years since the establishment of the Romanian Opera in Cluj” are legal tender on the territory of Romania.
