Meeting of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel at Timisoara

Tonight, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church was met at “Traian Vuia” international airport of Timisoara by His Eminence Laurentiu, Metropolitan of Transylvania, His Eminence Ioan Selejan, Metropolitan elect of Banat, and by His Grace Paisie, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Timisoara, together with the clergy of the administration of the eparchial centre, archpriests, priests of the Archdiocese of Timisoara, monks and nuns, together with lots of faithful and tens of priests, faithful and monks who accompanied His Eminence Ioan from Covasna and Harghita to the Metropolitanate of Banat.

Till the arrival of His Beatitude Daniel at the airport of Timisoara, the priests and faithful present from the Archdiocese of Timisoara and from the Diocese of Covasna and Harghita sang carols typical for this time.

The presence of His Beatitude Daniel at Timisoara marks an important event for the Metropolitanate of Banat, namely the enthronement of His Eminence Ioan Selejan on the throne of Metropolitan of Banat and Archbishop of Timisoara. The event will take place this Sunday, in the metropolitan cathedral of Timisoara.
