Inauguration of the Social-Medical Centre of the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara

Saturday afternoon, 8 November 2014, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church inaugurated and blessed the Social – Medical Centre of the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara. The settlement was dedicated to Saint Hierarch Nectarie and it is assigned to the people with low income, Trinitas TV informs.

The Patriarch of Romania awarded rev Dumitru Dimis, counsellor of the Social Philanthropic Department of the Diocese of Deva and Hunedoara the “Patriarchal Cross” for to his involvement in the equipment of the social medical centre. His Beatitude has also offered an icon of the Brancoveam Saints Martyrs and several books for the centre.

Cca 20 volunteer physicians will work within the centre of Deva.

The medical centre is situated in Titu Maiorescu and it owns seven consulting rooms and a laboratory of medical tests. The settlement is endowed with all the necessary equipment for ecographies, cardiological and optic tests. The centre was arranged in one year time.
