This autumn, the United States of America will welcome the relics of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and of the Holy Prince Constantine Brâncoveanu for a two-week trip starting on September 26.
From Chicago to Hayward via Sacramento, Seattle and Upland, the Saints will be meeting Romanian faithful in their parishes.
The relics will be brought from Romania by Fr. Emil-Nedelea Cărămizaru, parish priest at Bucharest’s New St George Church. The tour was blessed by Patriarch Daniel and Metropolitan Nicolae of the Americas.
The visit will begin in Chicago at the Holy Emperors Romanian Orthodox Cathedral on Monday, September 26.
The relics will reach the Resurrection of the Lord Parish in Sacramento, CA, on October 2.
Next, the relics will be welcomed at Sts Joachim and Anne Parish in Seattle on October 4, and at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish in Upland, CA, on October 6-7.
The tour will end at the Ascension of the Lord Parish in Hayward, CA, on October 8.
The liturgical program will be published on the websites of the host parishes.
Romanians in the diaspora have more and more events of this kind. Last year, the relics of Saints Nicholas and Constantine Brâncoveanu toured Germany; this year, they reached Austria.
