Consecration of Chapel of “Queen Elisabeth” High School of Bucharest

Last night, 22 June 2016, the chapel dedicated to the “Healing Spring” and to “Saint Luke” of the Special Technological High School of Queen Elisabeth, of Vatra Luminoasa district of Bucharest was consecrated – Trinitas TV informs.

The consecration service was celebrated by His Grace Timotei Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest, who delivered a sermon in which he spoke about the importance of prayer.

Prayer is badly needed any time and place. The people who pray a lot are those who experience the Kingdom of Heaven ever since this world. We do need much praying especially at the time we live in. There are lots of people confused, who do not come to the Liturgy, do not pray, have all kinds of concerns, but not those they need. Prayer helps us come close to God. Praying is the most important thing we can do during our lifetime, His Grace said.

Pupils, many faithful, and representatives of the educational institution – where more than 150 children with sight deficiencies study – attended the event.

To end with the religious service, the hierarch awarded diplomas to those who got involved in the re-inauguration of the place of worship which had not been celebrated in for almost five years. Then, the museum of the high school was visited, where things created by the blind children are exhibited.

The special technological high school of Vatra Luminoasa district was built by Queen Elisabeth in 1910.
