Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem received on Monday Aurelian Iftimiu, Director of the Basilica News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate, who travelled to the Holy City to attend the Christian Media Summit 2022.
“We spoke of the mission of the Basilica News Agency and His Beatitude referred to the good relations with the Romanian Orthodox Church and with Patriarch Daniel of Romania,” Aurelian Iftimiu said.
Since the visit to the Patriarchal Residence was held on the eve of the feast of Holy Apostle Andrew, protector of Romania, which is marked in Jerusalem according to the unrevised calendar, Patriarch Theophilos recalled His Beatitude’s visit to Bucharest four years ago, for the first patronal feast of the National Cathedral celebrated after its consecration.
Patriarch Theophilos conveyed his best wishes of good health and help from God to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.

“His Beatitude also spoke of the Jerusalem Patriarchate’s contribution to maintaining cohesion and peaceful coexistence between the different denominations and religions present in Jerusalem,” Aurelian Iftimiu added.
The meeting was held for 40 minutes in the first part of the day and was also attended by Cătălin Vasile, Founding Director of Prodocens Media.

The guests from Romania expressed their gratitude for enjoying the blessing of a visit to the Holy Land.
