Basilica Press Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate is celebrating her setting up on the feast of the Holy Trinity. At this anniversary time, after the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and of the Te Deum an anniversary festivity was organised at the Patriarchate Palace, with the participation of the employees of Basilica Press Centre.
Thus, the documentary entitled “Trinitas Radio station – 15 years of missionary activity” was presented in “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna, in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. After watching the film, the books and multi-media products recently appeared at Basilica News Agency, Lumina newspaper, Trinitas Radio station, Trinitas Television were launched. Here are some of them:
-Album entitled “Words and Images of the Church Life”. Basilica News Agency – published on the occasion of the anniversary of 5 years activity of the News Agency of the Romanian Patriarchate, Basilica publishing house;
–“Pilgrim in Bucharest. A Guide Book for Visitors”, at Basilica publishing house;
-“The book entitled “Notes from the Porch”. Lights from Lumina newspaper”, author Daniela Sontica, at Trinitas publishing house, Media Christiana Collection, Lumina series.
–“Gospel of the Day”, author Rev Dumitru Păduraru, Trinitas publishing house, Media Christiana Collection, Trinitas Radio series;
–“Trinitas Radio station” documentary – 15 years of media discipleship;
-DVD film: “Building Yard of the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation. Construction of the infrastructure. November 2010 – April 2013″;
-Mp3 CD: “The Little Bible” – 40 Bible episodes of the Old and New Testament” made by Trinitas Radio station;
-CD audio: “Chants for Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen” – soloist: Gabriel Rădășanu, published by Trinitas Radio station.
After these launchings, 4 Christian journalists from media institutions of Bucharest were awarded the homage Diploma of Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen on behalf of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
Then, the Patriarch of Romania delivered a blessing speech entitled “The Media Mission of Basilica Press Centre Is Being Developed”. Here is a short fragment: “Given its activity designed to convey information to those outside the strictly church space, Basilica Press Centre has been contributing through all its five branches, to a Christian act of education and culture in the present Romanian society, the missionary vocation of this patriarchal media centre having been doubled by a pedagogical – patriotic one. We convey our appreciation to all the employees and collaborators of Basilica Press Centre, because their work designed to convey the Gospel of Christ and the message of His Church in society will increase the light of the merciful love in the souls of many people”.
Basilica Press Centre was set up at the initiative, with the blessing and care of His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, on 27 October 2007, at the feast of Saint Pious Dimitrios the New, Protector of Bucharest, with the following branches:
–Trinitas Radio station set up in 1996, which started broadcasting on 17 April 1998;
–Lumina newspaper first published on 7 February 2005;
–Trinitas Television channel, which has been broadcasting since 27 October 2007;
–Basilica News Agency set up on 27 October 2007 and started broadcasting at the feast of the Holy Trinity of 16 June 2008;
–Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate set up after 1990 and which part of Basilica Press Centre since January 2008.
