The Priests of Prahova Country on a Conference

Today, 6 November 2012, the second session of the Autumn Semestral pastoral-missionary conference of the clergy of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, entitled Taking care of the sick and the pastoral-missionary, social – philanthropic and medical work of the Church, for the clergy of Prahova county was held in the big hall of Toma Caragiu Theatre of Ploiești city.

The working session was preceded by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in Saint Friday church of Ploiești city by His Grace Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, assisted by a group of priests and deacons.

Then, the following persons delivered lectures in the big hall of Toma Caragiu Theatre:

Rev. Drăgoi Ștefan – Posești parish, deanery of Vălenii de Munte;

Rev. Jean Nedelea – Saint Nicholas the New parish, deanery of Ploiești;

Rev. Liviu Milea – Voila Psychiatry Hospital, deanery of Câmpina.

“All the three essays were thoroughly attentively drafted and very well-balanced too; although rooted in the reality of nowadays with all the problems concerning the physical and spiritual good health, the crisis of the sanitary system, the economical crisis with effects for the psychic, spiritual and physical good health of the people, the priests have not avoided emphasising the importance of the sacramental and spiritual dimension for keeping the physical and spiritual good health of the people especially by recovering them when they are lost”, His Grace Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch said, according to Trinitas TV.

The priests of the deaneries of Ploiești, Câmpina, Vălenii de Munte and Urlați, as well as the charity priests of the county participated. To end with, the priests were offered the book entitled “Pastoral service for the alcohol addicted persons”, published by Basilica Publishing House of the Romanian Patriarchate.
