The Patriarch of Romania will pay a canonical visit to the Archdiocese of Ramnic (11 – 12 October 2014)

On 11 and 12 October 2014, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will pay a canonical visit to the Archdiocese of Ramnic at the invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Varsanufie of Ramnic, on the occasion of the re-blessing of the church painting of Hurezi Monastery.

Saturday, 11 October 2014, 12.00 hours, the relics of the Saint Martyr Prince Constantine Brancoveanu will be brought in procession to Hurezi Monastery, (important Brancovean church founded in 1693) by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, to be venerated by the clergy and faithful in this area of Oltenia.

Sunday, 12 October 2014, 9.00 hours, the Patriarch of Romania will celebrate a re-blessing of the painting of Hurezi Monastery dedicated to Saints Emperors Constantine and Helen. Then, His Beatitude will celebrate the Divine Liturgy on the podium arranged in the precincts of Hurezi Monastery, assisted by a group of hierarchs, priests and deacons.

At 15.45 hours, the relics of Saint Martyr Prince Constantine Brancoveanu will be brought to Hurezi Monastery from the Metropolitan Cathedral of Iasi to be venerated by the pilgrims who will participate in the pilgrimage organised on the occasion of the feast of Saint Pious Parascheva, protector of Moldova. The holy relics of the Martyr Prince will be venerated together with the relics of Saint Pious Parascheva during the pilgrimage of Iasi, till 16 October 2014.
