The Patriarch of Romania Has Re-consecrated the “Holy Trinity” – Ghencea Parish Church

Today, 24 June 2013, over 2000 inhabitants of Bucharest attended the re-consecration service of the “Holy Trinity” – Ghencea parish church of Bucharest. The religious service was celebrated by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, assisted by a group of priests and deacons. Besides His Beatitude, His Grace Varsanufie Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest also celebrated.

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel delivered a sermon in which he spoke to those present about the importance of the veneration of the Holy Trinity.

“The Orthodox is, first of all the Church of the Most Holy Trinity; all our services are on the rhythm of these formulae: Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit now and forever and ever. Amen. If we praise God-the-Father, God-the-Son and God-the Holy Spirit in this life it means that we are the friends of the Most Holy Trinity and we must live now and forever and ever to show our love for the Holy Trinity as an answer to the love of the Most Holy Trinity for us. This feast is great because it shows that all the work of Christ and that of the Holy Spirit too is done for the glory of God-the-Father, for the joy of the Most Holy Trinity and for our joy too”, His Beatitude said.

The consecration of the church today represents a climax of the work done and a moment of gratitude too, as parish priest Ion Grădincea related to Trinitas Radio station.
