The Joy to be Christian at the Romanian Patriarchate

Tonight, the winners of the National Contest entitled “The Joy to Be Christian” organised by the Romanian Patriarchate were awarded prizes by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. The event held at the Patriarchate Palace began with the opening of the exhibition entitled “Choose school!” and continued with the reportage made by Trinitas TV, which presented the National Contest entitled “The Joy to be Christian”.

During the festivity that followed 87 winners of the contest developed at the eparchies’ level were awarded prizes.

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel congratulated the young winners, as well as those who guided and prepared them to go in for the Contest of “The Joy to be Christian”.

The Contest of the “Joy to be Christian” showed us how special gifts the Holy Spirit has for the Church and especially gifts cultivated through the parents’ care and effort, as well as through the teachers’ and professors’ endeavour to contribute, together with the parents, to the children’s education and to conveying the faith. The National Contest of the “Joy to be Christian” is a missionary work, not a simple artistic event. It has an artistic form too, but first of all it is a missionary work for confessing the joy to be Christian as sense of feeling the presence of Christ in His Church and in the man’s life”, His Beatitude explained.
