The sixth edition of the Byzanfest 2021 Orthodox Film Festival is organized in partnership with the University of St Katherine’s, in the state of California, a higher education institution based on Christian Orthodox values.
Since the slogan of the Californian university is “Inquiry Seeking Wisdom”, this year’s festival theme is “Seeking”.
August 22 is the deadline for submitting short features, long features and screenplays in the competition. The sumissions need to be be created in a Christian Orthodox spirit. Prizes include cash and icons.
Byzanfest is the biggest international Orthodox Christian film festival and it aims to promote cinematography based on Christian Orthodox values.
Nominations and prizes can be viewed online in the last week of October – some for free, other on demand, for a fee.
