The worthy of remembrance Bishop Dionisie Erhan is one of the most outstanding church personalities from Bessarabia of the first half of the 20th century. He was a supporter of the achievement of the Greater Romania.

During the consolidation works at Suruceni Monastery, on July 10, 2018, the incorrupt body of Bishop Dionisie Erhan was discovered.

Thus, following the investigations made and the desire of the believers, the Metropolis of Bessarabia started the steps needed for the canonization of the worthy hierarch Dionisie.

The Metropolitan Synod of Bessarabia will submit to the Chancery of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church the necessary documentation required by the procedure for studying and analysing the canonization proposals of the dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate.
