Coat of Arms of the Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar

The Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar has a new coat of arms. The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church approved the model during its working session held Feb. 9 in Bucharest.

His Grace Bishop Justin launched the proposal to change the diocesan coat of arms. As reported by the diocesan site, the new coat of arms comes to meet the current context of the church life in the Northern part of Romania.

The coat of arms will be used in all official documents issued by the Diocese of Maramureş and Sătmar.
