Romanian Patriarchate’s journalists gather in prayer to the Most Holy Trinity on Pentecost Monday (VIDEO)

The Basilica Media Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate marked its patronal feast on Pentecost Monday, on June 21, 2021, when the Church celebrates the feast of the Most Holy Trinity.

On this occasion, His Grace Varlaam of Ploiești, patriarchal auxiliary bishop and coordinator of the Basilica Media Centre, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the outdoor altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral.

Journalists of the Media Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate took part in the service both as officiating clergymen and among the faithful.

At the end, a Te Deum service was held as a thanksgiving to God for the benefactions poured out upon the founders, coordinators, labourers, and beneficiaries of the Basilica Media Centre.

During the Divine Liturgy on Monday, special prayers were offered for the quick recovery of Archim. Ephraim, Abbot of Vatopedi Monastery, who is hospitalized in a serious condition after being infected with Covid-19.

The Basilica Media Centre was established at the initiative of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel on October 27, 2007.

Components of the Media Centre include Radio Trinitas, Trinitas TV, Lumina publications, Basilica News Agency and the Press and Public Relations Office. They together transmit the message and present to society the institutions, activities and attitudes of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
