Romanian Patriarch Daniel prayerfully celebrates 11th enthronement anniversary

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel on Sunday presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest marking His Beatitude’s 11th enthronement anniversary.

His Beatitude was enthroned as Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church during a special ceremony held on September 30, 2007.

Several Romanian hierarchs concelebrated at the festive Divine Liturgy, following which a Doxology (Te Deum) was officiated as a token of thanksgiving to God for the bounties poured out upon the Romanian Orthodox Church, the Romanian people, and His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel during the 11 years of patriarchal ministry.

The same day a reception was held at the Palace of the Patriarchate where state officials, and representatives of public institutions presented their congratulatory messages to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
