On Sunday, the Romanian Orthodox Parish of the “Dormition of the Mother of God” in Zaragoza celebrated its 20th anniversary.
His Grace Bishop Timotei of Spain and Portugal celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the parish church, where he delivered a sermon on the Parable of the Good Samaritan, emphasizing that “every person is our neighbour.”
“Our faith is validated by good deeds, and it is not enough to know it only on a theoretical level. The law expert mentioned in today’s gospel understood faith theoretically, but he also needed to put it into practice. This is why Christ urged him to act on what he knew, and He tells us the same,” said the bishop.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Timotei awarded Parish Priest Aurel Nae the “Order of St. James the Greater” for his dedicated pastoral and missionary work in the community.
