Religious Education teachers in the Metropolis of Bessarabia set priorities ahead of new School Year

Religious education teachers from the Metropolis of Bessarabia met last week to discuss the new school year‘s curriculum. They established several priorities related to strategies for strengthening religious education in schools.

The meeting was held at “Metropolitan Gurie Grosu” Hall at the Metropolitan Residence in Chișinău. The session was streamed online to facilitate participation for teachers who could not attend in person.

“Among the topics discussed were the distribution of teaching materials and educational resources, the need for adequate educational infrastructure, and strategies for improving students’ moral and spiritual formation,” representatives of the Metropolis of Bessarabia noted.

During the meeting, the benefits of cross-border projects on religious education were presented, and the positive impact of religious blogs in the teaching process was analyzed.

Additionally, aspects related to the organization of optional subjects in general education and directives concerning the certification of teaching staff were discussed.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, after which the teachers agreed on joint activities to facilitate the educational process.

“This first step in organizing such a meeting represents an important move toward strengthening the educational community within the Metropolis of Bessarabia, ensuring a promising future for religious education in this region,” representatives of the Metropolis of Bessarabia conveyed.
