The Patriarch of Romania on Wednesday opened the working session of the Statutes and Regulations Committee of the Holy Synod at the patriarchal residence.
As announced by the Patriarch in his opening remarks, the Committee will complete the regulations of the central bodies of the Romanian Orthodox Church and the regulations on church goods administration.
While the first topic was discussed more thoroughly before, the administration of church goods was considered only by the metropolitan synods.
‘It is very important to have clear, accurate regulations, well argued from the Holy Scripture and the canons, on the basis of Romanian Orthodox synodal tradition,’ Patriarch Daniel said June 12.
The Statutes and Regulations Committee will conclude its works on Thursday.
