Bucharest, 3 June 2025

Mr. President IOAN VULPESCU,
Esteemed members of the General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy,
Honoured audience members,

We have received with great joy the invitation to participate in the annual session of the General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, which takes place in Bucharest from the 2nd to the 6th of June, 2025.

The Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy is a platform that brings together parliamentarians from 25 countries with the purpose of promoting, at a global level, fraternal dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation among Orthodox people. In times marked by multiple challenges, by moral, social, and economic crises, our shared voice must be one of wisdom, mutual respect, and the defence of the Christian values that have ennobled our civilization.

In this regard, we encourage you to continue working together to promote justice, peace, and human dignity, in order to bear witness, through word and deed, to the merciful love of the Heavenly Father.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ may bestow upon you all His abundant gifts for the fulfilment of every good work. At the same time, we would like to bless the proceedings of the General Assembly of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy and wish you much help from God in the activity that you carry out.

With patriarchal blessing in Christ the Lord,

† DANIEL
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
