His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel’s message addressed to students taking national exams: full text

Beloved young people,

At a time when the educational level is more significant, the Church and the School co-operate for your intellectual and spiritual preparation for life.

Exams must be understood as opportunities and means to evaluate your knowledge, to repay the efforts made during the school years, in order to enrich yourselves culturally and spiritually, bearing in mind your affirmation and promotion in a society constantly in need of moral and professional values embodied in honest, faithful, and diligent people.

May the love of the risen Christ bring peace, joy, confidence, and much courage to your souls!

We urge all priests to support you by prayer, encouragement, and any other useful support especially during the examination period.

With paternal love and blessing,

†Daniel

Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
