New priest of Brisbane Romanian community meets with Greek Bishop

Last week, Fr. Mihail Suciu, the newly appointed parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox community in Brisbane, Australia, met with His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane, Vema reports.

During their meeting, the two discussed the recent visit of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia.

On this occasion, Bishop Bartholomew expressed gratitude to His Grace Bishop Mihail, Romanian Orthodox Bishop of Australia and New Zealand, on behalf of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, for his presence at the services held during the Ecumenical Patriarch’s visit.

The Greek hierarch also emphasized the love and respect that the clergy and faithful of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia hold for Bishop Mihail.

A Gesture of Appreciation

As a token of appreciation, Bishop Bartholomew presented Fr. Mihail Suciu with an icon of the Dormition of the Mother of God, accompanied by a prayer that the Theotokos intercede for him and his family. He also gifted him a copy of the book Lord and Master of My Life by Archbishop Makarios.

Fr. Mihail Suciu expressed his gratitude for the gifts and blessings, warmly inviting Bishop Bartholomew to visit the Romanian community in Brisbane.
