Metropolitan Ioan of Banat donates two oxygen concentrators to the Railway company’s Clinical Hospital in Timișoara

Metropolitan Ioan of Banat has donated two oxygen concentrators to the Railway company’s Clinical Hospital in Timișoara. The devices are useful in the treatment of patients with respiratory problems.

The metropolitan has made the donation at the request of the hospital, reports the Metropolis of Banat.

The devices supply oxygen at a higher concentration than the one found in the atmosphere, and thus are effective in fighting against respiratory infections arising from the coronavirus.

The concentrators allow patients to move more freely and they improve sleep, overall quality of life and comfort level. The patient will be able to breathe better through a mask or a tube connected to them.

The hospital management thanked the metropolitan for the Christian gesture made during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Metropolitan Ioan of Banat is recognized as an important local philanthropist. In the recent years, the Timișoara Archdiocese has also donated houses to more families from Timiș county in Western Romania.
