Feast of Holy Trinity: Patronal feast of Romanian Patriarchate’s Basilica Media Centre

Ziua Centrului de Presă Basilica

All five institutions that are part of the Basilica Media Centre of the Romanian Patriarchate have been placed under the protection of the Holy Trinity, having as their model and help the Divine Persons who “give themselves to each other and work together in perfect harmony, and Their glory shows the holiness and beauty of their eternal love.”

Faith in the Most Holy Trinity is the Orthodox Church’s primary doctrine, teaching reflected in all the ecclesial activity transmitted through the Centre entitled “Basilica”.

The Basilica Media Centre was established at the initiative of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel on 27 October 2007.

The components of the Media Centre – Radio Trinitas, Trinitas TV, Lumina publications, Basilica News Agency and the Press and Public Relations Office – convey the message and present to society the institutions, activities and attitudes of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Speaking about the cooperation between the press institutions of the Romanian Patriarchate, Patriarch Daniel stressed that “the Basilica Media Centre is like a five-fingered hand through which the Church works for the correct information of the faithful about its life and activity today.”

The Basilica Media Centre is the concrete form of activity of the Romanian Patriarchate’s Communications and Public Relations Sector.
The institution operates as a non-profit subunit of the Patriarchal Administration.
