The Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate made an announcement on Tuesday, April 27, on the arrival of the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to Bucharest, where Patriarch Daniel will receive it in a solemn procession held on the Patriarchate Hill.

Bringing the Holy Fire from Jerusalem on Holy Saturday

The tradition of bringing the Holy Fire from Jerusalem will continue this year by respecting the sanitary rules in force.
The Holy Fire will arrive from Jerusalem on Saturday evening, May 1, 2021, brought by V. Rev. Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, Representative of the Romanian Patriarchate in the Holy Land. The delegates from the eparchies of the Romanian Patriarchate will receive it, as usual, at the International Airport in Otopeni.
The eparchial centres will distribute the Holy Fire through deaneries to all the parishes.
On the same day, between 19:30 and 20:30 hours, a ceremonial procession will be held on the Patriarchate Hill, when His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will receive the Holy Fire at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
