The Romanian Orthodox Monastery in Mono Mills, Ontario, Canada, is urgently seeking support to pay off the mortgage on the land of its holy establishment to begin constructing its main church building.
The remaining balance on the mortgage is $175,000 USD, and the monastic community is appealing to members of the Romanian diaspora to help raise this amount quickly and move to the next phase of the project: building the church.
“If we have 250 people with a donation of $700 each we will be able to pay this mortgage this year by August 1 2025,” said Abbot Policarp. “ In order to keep this project going, dear brethren and sisters in the Lord, your help and support are essential.”
“Your contribution, no matter the size, will make an enormous difference in realizing this holy undertaking. Let us come together and bring to fruition a vision intended to bring solace and a place of worship to our community.”

The monastery belongs to the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada, under the Patriarchate of Romania – Metropolis of the Americas, and is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and Saint Ephraim the New.
