On Thursday, May 15, 2025, His Grace Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop Varlaam of Ploiești, Secretary of the Holy Synod, received Brother Sabino Chialà, Prior of the Roman Catholic Monastery of Bose (Italy), in an audience at the Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest.
During their discussions, Bishop Varlaam emphasized the long-standing cooperation between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Monastery of Bose, cultivated over the years through the regular participation of Romanian Orthodox Church delegations in the annual Orthodox spirituality conferences hosted by the monastery in Italy.
These conferences have become an important occasion for theological dialogue and rapprochement between Christian traditions, fostering a more profound sense of communion and encouraging harmonious collaboration between the two principal branches of Christianity today.
In turn, Brother Sabino Chialà expressed his gratitude to His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel for the messages sent each year during the inter-Christian conference at Bose. He noted that these messages deliver profound and uplifting words to the participants and reflect the Romanian Patriarchate’s strong commitment to inter-Christian dialogue.
After the meeting, Bishop Varlaam extended warm wishes to Brother Sabino Chialà and expressed hope that his stay in Romania would be pleasant and fruitful.
