Austria’s Greek Metropolitan visits construction site of Romanian Church in Vienna

His Eminence Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria paid a visit to the construction site of the Romanian Church in Vienna on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

“Together with the Architects Georg Baldass and Mihaela Ionescu we presented to the Metropolitan the architecture of the church and we discussed the building works, the challenges and difficulties that appear during the construction works, considering that, soon, His Eminence will start the construction works of the Orthodox Monastery in Sankt Andrä am Zicksee,” Father Emanuel Nuţu wrote on Facebook.

Father Emanuel Nuţu also presented the project implemented for the Romanian community in the Austrian capital, namely the block of flats, near the future church, where 46 Romanian families live.

The Greek Metropolitan of Austria expressed his ‘deep admiration for the project’ and was pleasantly surprised by the kindergarten established on the ground floor, as well as the Roua store with Romanian traditional products.
