Abbot of “St Demetrios the New” Monastery in Middletown to speak at the ROYA 2021 Summer Retreat

The Romanian Orthodox Youth of Americas (ROYA) organizes between July 30 and August 2 the ROYA 2021 Summer Retreat. Protosincellus Ieremia Berbec, Abbot of “St Demetrios the New” Monastery in Middletown, New York, will speak to the young people.

The retreat will be hosted by the “Protection of the Mother of God” Orthodox Christian Monastery in Allegan, Michigan, and is open for Romanian Orthodox youth aged 17 to 30.

The schedule will include workshops, prayer, discussions, group activities, and conferences on various topics. The host of the event is Father Petru Neaga of the Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral in Olmsted Township, Ohio.

The Romanian Orthodox Youth of the Americas (ROYA) is part of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of the Americas and is directly supervized by Metropolitan Nicolae. ROYA aims to make it easier for Romanian Orthodox young people of the same faith to keep in touch.
