Between 21 and 24 May, Romanians living in three British cities will have access to consular services without having to travel to London. The initiative is being organised by the Consulate General of Romania in London to support the Romanian community within its jurisdiction.
A consular team will travel to Peterborough, Norwich and Ipswich to organise mobile consular offices for Romanian citizens living in those areas.
According to the announced schedule, the team will stop in Peterborough on 21 May, in Norwich on 22 May, and in Ipswich on 23 and 24 May.
Representatives of the institution said the initiative aims to facilitate access to consular services for Romanians living far from the British capital and to reduce the need for travel to the consulate headquarters in London.
A new element of this edition is the use of a digital platform developed to streamline appointments and the organisation of consular activities. Interested Romanian citizens can reserve places through the dedicated platform.
Representatives of the Romanian Consulate General in London underlined that the project reflects the Romanian authorities’ efforts to move closer to diaspora communities through solutions adapted to current needs and through the use of digital tools to increase the accessibility of consular services.
The registration deadline is 17 May 2026 at 23:00, and the exact locations where the activities will take place will be communicated to registered participants later.
