His Eminence Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia delivered a video message to the faithful in the Republic of Moldova, who celebrate the Nativity of the Lord according to the unrevised calendar.
“The Nativity of the Infant Christ reminds us that God came into the world to dispel the darkness of sin and guide us on the path to salvation. Let us welcome Him into our souls with joy and steadfast faith,” His Eminence said.
The Metropolitan of Bessarabia encouraged believers to remain unwavering in their faith and to increase their acts of kindness toward others.
“Let us humbly pray to the Savior, as His disciples did, and care for those in need, showing love and charity. With unceasing prayers to the Infant Jesus, I wish you peace, health, and blessed holidays with your loved ones,” conveyed His Eminence Metropolitan Petru.
Metropolitan Petru of Bessarabia, in his pastoral letter for the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord, encouraged believers to extend kindness to those in need—whether through a comforting word, material support, or heartfelt prayer—reminding them of the Savior’s teaching: “Truly, I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.”
