The website doxologia.ro recently announced the consecration of the Bishop-elect Archimandrite Damaschin (Luchian) as Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți is scheduled to take place at St John the New Cathedral in Suceava, on Sunday, 23 July 2017.
His Eminence Metropolitan Teofan of Moldavia and Bukovina will preside over the Divine Liturgy, which will begin at 9.00 a.m., in the concelebration of several hierarchs, priests, and deacons.
During its July 4 working session, the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church elected Archimandrite Damaschin Luchian (36) as Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți, with the title of Dorna.
