His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel celebrates His 65th anniversary

His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, celebrates tomorrow, 22 July 2016, His 65th anniversary.

The Romanian Patriarch is currently visiting the Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St Mary in Techirghiol, in order to evaluate the paintings and the redevelopment works carried out at this monastic settlement.

On Friday, 22 July, after the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, a Te Deum service will be held as thanksgiving to God for the recent accomplishments in the life of the Romanian Orthodox Church, of the Romanian people and of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. The same day, a thanksgiving service will also be officiated at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest.

The official anniversary of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel is on September 30, when His Beatitude was enthroned as Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church (30 September 2007).
