His Eminence Hierotheos Vlachos, Metropolitan of Nafpaktos and Hagios Vlasios, visited Wednesday, 16 November 2016, the Dormition of the Theotokos Monastery in Diaconeşti, Bacău County. The Greek Hierarch was welcomed by His Eminence Ioachim, Archbishop of Roman and Bacău, doxologia.ro reports.
Archbishop Ioachim thanked his guest for accepting the invitation to visit the monastic community of Diaconeşti. He also presented briefly the monastic life in the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău.
His Eminence Hierotheos Vlachos delivered a homily to the monastics, in which he stressed out the importance of keeping the unity of the Church and of respecting Church hierarchy, in the context of certain events that troubled the Romanian Orthodox Church.
