was born in Cristian, county of Bra\u0219ov. Studies at the “Andrei \u0218aguna\u201d<\/p>\n
secondary school in Bra\u0219ov (1909 \u2013 1917), with equivalence at the<\/p>\n
Faculty of Theology of Cern\u0103u\u021bi, where he was awarded the doctor\u2019s<\/p>\n
degree (1924). Professor of Bible study of the Old and New Testament at<\/p>\n
the Theological Academy in Cluj (since 1924), and from 1948 and 1952 at<\/p>\n
the University Theological Institute, rector of the Academy (1937 \u2013 1943<\/p>\n
and 1946 \u2013 1948), then of the Institute (1948 \u2013 1953), parish priest in<\/p>\n
Bistri\u021ba (1952 \u2013 1957), eparchial vicar at Cluj (1957 \u2013 1958), member<\/p>\n
of the Eparchial Assembly of the Diocese of Vad, Feneac and Cluj, iconom<\/p>\n
stavrofor, he was imprisoned for a few years in the communist prisons<\/p>\n
(from November 1958), because the had drafted a plan for teaching<\/p>\n
Religion (sentenced to 8 years prison).<\/p>\n
