On 8 September, when the Church celebrates the <em>Birth of the Mother of God<\/em>, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. <\/p>\n<p>In the sermon delivered in the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church said: &#8220;We pray the Mother of God to protect our families and children very often exposed to all forms of violence, sometimes exploitation, and more recently to <em><strong>the violence of the stray dogs<\/strong>. It is badly needed to appreciate the value of the human person. A single human values more than the entire material universe.
