Today, 22 February 2013, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church congratulated the 20 inhabitants of 5 monastic settlements of the Archdiocese of Bucharest who attended the courses of culinary art. The graduates were awarded diplomas of participation in the contest on behalf of the organisers. <\/p>\n

To end with, the Patriarch of Romania spoke about the importance of keeping the traditional culinary art: “We do wish to keep the genuine Romanian tradition as a synthesis of the local, national skill enriched with some borrowings from outside. We think that hospitality should be cultivated as part of the Church mission. Saint Paul the Apostle says that a servant of the Lord must be hospitable. He must also be able to teach others, and be a good organiser of his home. Receiving guests also implies special attention. The way we receive somebody must be may be mission. The way we treat somebody can be an act of nobleness or indifference.”<\/p>\n

Within the same framework an agreement was signed between the Archdiocese of Bucharest and the firm that organises the courses of culinary art, in order to continue their collaboration – informs TRINITAS TV. <\/p>\n

The course of initiation in the culinary art was held from 14 January – 21 February, organised within a partnership between the Archdiocese of Bucharest, SC Bilancia Exim SRL, Aroma Centre of excellency in gastronomy and alimentary technology and Chefs’ Federation of Romania.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
