Czechia and Slovakia<\/a>\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The competition runs from 15 August to 30 November and is free to enter for both professional and amateur photographers. Each participant may submit up to six photographs per category across the four categories: Places, Reportage, People and Details.<\/p>\n<p>The photographs must depict places of worship and aspects of life within the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. Images may feature churches and monasteries, clergy and laypeople, pilgrimages and feast-day celebrations, as well as icons, frescoes, mosaics, crosses and other elements of ecclesiastical art.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cz-sk.orthphoto.net\/howto.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Send entries<\/a> to the organisers with the participation form. Submit photographs in JPG, PNG, or TIFF format, measuring at least 3,000 pixels in width or height.<\/p>\n<h2>Competition jury<\/h2>\n<p>The international jury comprises Jaros\u0142aw Charkiewicz and Aleksander Wasyluk from Poland; Archdeacon Nicolae Iftimiu, director of the Romanian Patriarchate\u2019s Basilica News Agency; Ludmila Juzov\u00e1 from Czechia; and Lucia Fedorcov\u00e1 from Slovakia.<\/p>\n<p>The best photographs will be published in the album <em>Colours of Orthodoxy. Czechia and Slovakia<\/em>, which is expected to comprise approximately 172\u2013190 full-colour pages. Texts will be published in five languages: English, Czech, Slovak, Polish and Russian. Photographers whose work is selected for the album will each receive a copy.<\/p>\n<p>The project will also include photographic exhibitions organised at several venues, independent of the album\u2019s publication. The first exhibition is scheduled for May 2027 in Poland, while plans for presentations in other cities are expected to be finalised during the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Colours of Orthodoxy<\/h2>\n<p>The Colours of Orthodoxy project has run for 15 years, with each edition dedicated to a different Orthodox country or region. To date, 15 albums have been published, and exhibitions associated with the project have been held in 16 countries.<\/p>\n<p>Previous editions have focused on Romania, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Finland, Georgia, Poland, Russia, Serbia and the Holy Land.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is being developed in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orthphoto.net\/index.php?id_jezyk=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OrthPhoto<\/a>, an international platform dedicated to Orthodox photography, whose collection includes more than 100,000 photographs from around 80 countries, and with the Publishing House of the Polish Orthodox Church.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2364\" data-end=\"2579\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orthphoto.net\/photo.php?id=153037&amp;id_jezyk=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OrthPhoto \/ Jarek Charkiewicz<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photographers from around the world are being invited to capture Orthodox Christianity through the international competition \u201cColours of Orthodoxy.
