{"id":582656,"date":"2026-07-31T15:49:44","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T12:49:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=582656"},"modified":"2026-07-31T15:49:44","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T12:49:44","slug":"romanian-patriarchate-heatwave-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/romanian-patriarchate-heatwave-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Romanian Patriarchate urges parishes to support people during heatwave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Amid the <a href=\"https:\/\/agerpres.ro\/english\/2026\/07\/31\/code-orange-heatwave-for-4-counties-until-saturday-morning-code-yellow-warning-for-14-counties--1581016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extremely high temperatures<\/a> affecting Romania, the Romanian Patriarchate urges all dioceses to provide support to people impacted by the heatwave.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parishes and monasteries are encouraged to distribute drinking water to those in need and to allow people affected by the heat to rest for short periods in shaded and cool areas.
