{"id":574712,"date":"2026-06-04T13:09:05","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T10:09:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/?p=574712"},"modified":"2026-06-04T13:09:05","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T10:09:05","slug":"romanian-orthodox-priest-lisbon-blesses-new-police-officers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basilica.ro\/en\/romanian-orthodox-priest-lisbon-blesses-new-police-officers\/","title":{"rendered":"Romanian Orthodox priest in Lisbon blesses three new Portuguese Police Officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fr Florentin Dobrescu, parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox community in Lisbon, <a href=\"https:\/\/obispadoortodoxo.es\/index.php\/arhiva\/evenimente-2026\/314-iunie-2026\/3974-slujba-de-multumire-si-binecuvantare-pentru-noi-agenti-ai-politiei-de-siguranta-publica-psp-din-portugalia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blessed<\/a> three newly appointed officers of Portugal\u2019s Public Security Police (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecommunitiesportugal.com\/find-information\/police-in-portugal\/psp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSP<\/a>) on Pentecost Sunday as they began their careers in law enforcement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the new officers is Romanian, another Ukrainian, and the third a Portuguese convert to the Romanian Orthodox Church.
