His Grace Bishop Nectarie received the special award<\/a> for \u201cBest Goalkeeper\u201d at the end of the first edition of the minifootball tournament organised by the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Ireland and Iceland.<\/strong><\/p>\n

His Grace received the special distinction for \u201cGoalkeeper of the Tournament\u201d.<\/p>\n

The competition, held on May 2 in Dublin, brought together 12 teams representing parishes from the Diocese of Ireland and Iceland, including one composed exclusively of English-speaking players.<\/p>\n

In the final standings, first place went to \u201cSt. Evin \u2013 Monasterevin Parish\u201d, followed by \u201cFC Codlea \u2013 Annunciation Parish Dublin\u201d and \u201cOld Boys LMR \u2013 Dublin Diocesan Centre\u201d.<\/p>\n

Faith and fair play<\/h2>\n

Other individual awards were also presented: Denis Ciarnau was named player of the tournament, while Vasile Berdil\u0103 received the \u201cSenior Veteran\u201d distinction.<\/p>\n

The Galway Hooks team received the Fair Play award.<\/p>\n

The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony and a fraternal agape meal organised at the Diocesan Centre.<\/p>\n

The organisation of the second edition will be entrusted to the winning team.<\/p>\n
